Chrissie Pattersonadopted from Serbia in October, 2009
The Reece's Rainbow family grieves the loss of one our little "colors", Chrissie Patterson, who passed away May 19, 2010 from complications of her congenital heart defect. Her adoptive family, Lorraine and Matthew Patterson, gave Chrissie the best 8 months of her life, and she died LOVED and CHERISHED, not alone in an orphanage crib.
We are grateful to the Pattersons for this incredible gift of life they gave her, knowing the risk that she might not survive very long. They stepped forward trusting that Chrissie was in God's hands and here for HIS purpose, no matter what. We have all followed their blog intensely recently, and have witnessed the strong Christian faith of this family during one of their darkest hours. Even now they ask people to wear bright colors to her funeral in celebration of her life.
